Identify keywords and craft talking points about yourself and your writing.
Many writers, when asked basic questions like “So, what do you write?” either clam up or ramble on endlessly. This workshop provides structured time to (1) identify what is important to you, (2) craft talking points, and (3) playtest your answers.
Mindfully preparing and practicing for writerly interactions facilitates stronger answers and first impressions that will stick. It’s not about finding the right answer; it’s about finding an answer that’s good enough for today.
(Open to any and all writers, but this workshop may be especially useful for those who consider themselves new, introverted, neurodivergent, and/or anxious when talking about themselves or their writing.)
6-8 pm Core Workshop: warmup, identify, craft, playtest
8-9 pm Bonus Round: revise your talking points, playtest
